Yesterday's update effected my themes

Just had a patch and update and it effected my themes which I can't undo. 

I used a dark theme and usually all the notifications, menus and options are perfectly readable.

Now, when a notification comes in I see the headline in the popup / pull down but the rest is a very dark grey on black and unreadable. 

Tried various combinations of themes but can't get a dark that's readable. 

My wife has the same S9+ which is fine. 

Not rooted, stock. 

Anyone else?

@Beershark: Have you tried going to Settings > Display > Night Mode > On to see if this offers a better aesthetic? I recommend trying this with the a stock Theme to ensure the best outcome.

Thanks for that, I think I missed that... I think night mode, stock theme with different wallpaper and icons is where I was at previously .. 

The update disengaged night mode and changed the look.  Spent ages tweaking when it was just night mode..

Ps night mode only works on stock theme which is why I missed it whilst tweaking
