Has anybody has this problem where there's this slight yellow tint on the S9 after the pie update? I checked my settings to make sure the blue light filter is off.

I'm using the Note 9 @Juice214  but have updated to the Samsung One Ui  / Pie update and haven't noticed any difference.

I've just had another look using a pure white background via a Google search and all is fine.

I've even turned Off Nite Mode to check and I can't see yellow.

However I submit our eyes and what we perceive are different.

To add.my phone is set to adaptive display.

This can be set to cool / warm.

Settings , Display , Screen Mode.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

My S9 did the same thing after the update. Blue light filter is off and color balance is set to cool. It is not my eyes perceiving it as yellow, the damned screen has a yellow tint that wasn't there before the update. It's super annoying and bothers my eyes during the day.

Hello

I've been facing this problem for 3 months.

This problem is caused by Google Play Books !!!!!

If you don't have it, install it first.

Then search for a free e-book and start reading it.

At the top right of the screen you can see the "Aa" icon.

Click on it and from there go to the "night light" setting

Turn off "night light".

Congratulations! You've done it.

Thankyou for your post, I have a galaxy tab s5e and I could have sworn it had an amber tint. I tried your solution and it worked straight away. Legend!

The same thing happened to my S9+, yellow screen and black crush after 14 months of light use (I have an Iphone as my main phone). Seems like it needs a screen replacement. Not the quality that i expects from a flagship product, definetly will be my last samsung. What a crappy product!

I have a Samsung S10+ and S5e tablet and this problem has plagued me on both devices. My screen would go yellow every evening. I hated it. Thanks for this post. I called Samsung tech support and they had no clue.

One update: You cannot remove the yellow cast with the slider alone. You must set a custom schedule to turn the setting ON AND OFF AT THE SAME TIME. This effectively turns the setting off.

Samsung needs to put take this setting out of Play Books and put it with all the other ones for the device. Also make it easier to figure out how to turn it off!

OMFG THANKS!!!!!! I thought my phone was done for but this was definitely the fix! I didn't even have the app installed but I installed it and went through the steps and finally this stupid screen problem is fixed!!! I was wondering why not only did it seem to only be at night (without the blue light filter on), but also when rebooted, the Samsung startup screen was pure white but once the phone was booted up, turned to yellow again

You're the best!!!

Tried that on mySM T700 running 6.0.1 and no improvement , sadly. Any other ideas. The thing starts up just fine but after a few minutes develops a very yellow screen tint.
