Galaxy S9 Series

Can someone help?? When I receive a whatapp message that is Purely txt based...I get sound and vibrate notification..however wheb the message contains any media (pictures gifs etc) then it only vibrates and no sound notification. I have tried uninstalling and installing and also turning notifications on and off but has made no difference? Any ideas?

Is this the only app you're having the problem with?

If so, it may be a feature of WhatsApp, so you would need to reach out to the app developer directly.

Yes this is the only app I'm having trouble with..all others are fine.

It seems as thought it's an issue with WhatsApp then, I'd recommend getting in touch with the developer directly.
