Galaxy S9 SeriesMy father bought me a new s9 and he purchased it from Italy. I am living in Philippines and i cant use my local network because of it says that the sim card that should be used must be european version. I searched the net on possible ways to unlock it, and i saw that the new s9 should make a 5 min phone call from where it is purchased before it can be used.
And this is the problem:
I'm at the Philippines and there's no way that i can get it back to Italy just to make a phone call. Please help me. This is the first time i owned a great phone. Please help me. Thank you😔

Galaxy S9 SeriesThe region lock is in place to stop grey imports @uwaboi so Samsung can't alter that.
Are you able to send it to your father in Italy so the needed calls can be made and then he sends it back to you ?
If not then you may need to consider selling the phone to someone (letting them know about the region lock ) and then use the funds to buy another phone that will work in your country.
Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²³ Ultra 512Gb in Phantom Black.
The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "
