Screen timeout problem s9+

Galaxy S9 Series

So I just got a brand new s9+ and I'm having a problem with the screen timeout option not working at all. No matter what i set it to my phone dims and then locks after 10 seconds of me not touching the screen. I have tried restarting the phone multiple times and even did a factory reset without backing up my apps. No luck same problem.... any other known solutions? I'm getting very annoyed haaalllpppp

Depending on how long you've owned it you might be able to swap it out via the shop / network that supplied it.

 

That or a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre can take a look.
