Galaxy S9 SeriesWhen I tap the centre left of the screen on my S9 it sounds hollow, the rest of the screen sounds solid,is this normal or a fault with the screen.

Galaxy S9 SeriesHaha !
You have just had me tapping my phone, my phone also gives a different sound in that area, it is most likely down to the fact that there is less are smaller components in that area which in effect gives of a different sound due to clearance. A bit like knocking on a plaster wall and a brick wall.

Galaxy S9 SeriesDo you think it is normal and no need for concern

Galaxy S9 SeriesWell obviously this is based on my opinion and also the fact i can't compare phones with you.
But my phone makes more noise in the area you pointed out, in the exact way you describe.
So long as your not seeing any performance issues in your phone and so long as you cant hear anything moving inside the phone like a lose component etc, then i think it is perfectly normal.
You could however compare your phone with a friend who has the same phone to see if it makes a similar sound or go in to your nearest phone shop and have a tap on the same model in store. I think that would put your mind at rest.

Galaxy S9 SeriesI just tried tapping my mates S7 edge and it makes the same sound in the same place,so I think you're right in saying that there is probably less components in that area to deaden the sound,it's just a bit annoying,or maybe I'm too much a perfectionist, thanks for you're replies

Galaxy S9 SeriesHi there not sure if you will gwt this message on here still. But i got a new galaxy s9 coral blue yesterday and i moticed on mine it soumds hollow on the same spot on the screen too, it was drivong me mad so i looked in to it further on teardown videos of the phone on youtube , and what i got from it was that it is exaxtly where the battery is and around the battery there is a slight gap it also show that the battery is only glued around the edge so this would make this sound hollow in this area as it isnt solid behind it. If they glued the whole battery it would be better and not sound so hollow. Hope this helps you out, how have you got on with yours did you keep it or return it/have you got used to it?thanks

Galaxy S9 SeriesI'm a kid and I own a samsung mid range which is the A70 but my parents always take the best Samsung and well my father has the s10+ and my mother has the s9 and well the s9 had a really weird click sound on the home button and well it really annoys me so it's good to hear that we are not the only ones that had this problem.
