i've recently updated my S9 to android pie + one UI

1.when i swipe up (new navigation bar) to recent apps, in horizontal view it always...go in to recent apps tab view -> wait awhile then switch to vertical view..which is very delaying + slowing down the movement and annoying...like when im at a full view horizontal game and i decided to go to recent apps view i swipe up to recent apps, it goes from horizontal view to vertical view not instantly but delay and turn.

2. recent apps button after u swipe up or click, it always go to the recent apps view but in a second it will move to the last apps i used which i only wanted to see the recent apps not samsung helping me to 1.go recent apps 2.move to the last apps used (please note it does nt go into the apps just showing the last used apps view in recent apps tab view) 3.i need to swipe my screeen left to move back to the apps im using to close it..very annoying

3.the fingerprint reader reaction got slowed down, the whole ui got slowed down..

Dis you update via the software update section in your phone  @XiangHow

Also sometimes if a phone is glitching after an update it's recommended to...

1. Clear the phones system cache files by turning the phone Off and then from a set series of button presses go into the phones system files.

This will not delete any of your personal information.

2. Back up and remove any Sd card and factory reset.

Take into account it can take a few days for a phone to fully index / settle down.

Please let us know how you get on.

Galaxy S9  users are complaining about a variety of Android Pie problems ranging from small bugs to major performance issues.

The current list of Galaxy S9 problems includes a lot of familiar faces. We’re hearing about abnormal battery drain, issues with first and third-party applications, issues with Bixby, connectivity (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS,) issues, clean install issuesUI lag, lockups and freezes, charging problems, data issues, Samsung Cloud problems, installation problems, and voice quality problems.

It’s still early so we expect the list to grow in size as more Galaxy S9  users upgrade from Android Oreo.

If you run into a problem while running Android Pie there’s no need to panic. You should be able to fix the problem on your own in minutes.

If you notice an issue, take a look at our list of fixes for common Galaxy S9 problems. It’s a good place to start if you’re dealing with lag, connectivity issues, and/or random bugs.

Our guide to fixing Galaxy S9 battery life issues will help you fix battery drain problems if you start noticing them after the Android Pie update.

If you don’t find what you’re looking for in our guides, you should check out the XDA-Developers Galaxy S9 forums, the Android Central Galaxy S9 Forums, or carrier support forums at AT&TSprintT-MobileVerizon, or your carrier.

You can also get in touch with Samsung or your provider on social media sites like Twitter. Samsung’s also got a customer support line.

I downloaded the update and since then I cannot create group text messages or send/receive picture messages. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem since the update.  I can't send or receive MMS.  Can't send/receive group texts or pictures.  Xfinity mobile tech told me they had no solution and Samsung was "working on it"!  Anyone figured out how to fix this issue?

@AJ06

As a process of elimination can you try your sim card in another phone and then try to send a mms.

I have the same problem.  I downloaded Android Pie last week (and wish I hadn't - why don't they warn you??) to my Galaxy 9s And now cannot send or receive MMS - I haven't tried to send a group SMS.  I tried various fixes I found online - none worked.  I took the phone to Xfinity;  They said it was Samsung's problem.  I called Samsung and got a number for my issue, but was told it was Android's problem.  I spend ONE hours on hold after Byzantine efforts to get to Android, only to be told it was Samsung's problem.   So...when will this get fixed???  And does anyone know how I can uninstall Android Pie and go back to my old system?

Unfortunately we can't uninstall it. I was on the phone with Xfinity mobile and Samsung for hours. They couldn't help me!! I put in a claim for a new phone. There was nothing else I could do
