I bought a (sim lock free) S9+ in the Netherlands and read threads about region locks before bringing it with me to Colombia. I made two 6-minute phone calls while in the Netherlands, using a sim card from a Dutch provider. Theoretically, this should have removed the region lock, correct? However, once I put in my Colombian sim card it did not accept the code, which I had entered a number of times. Now I have the message "SIM network PIN blocked. Enter SIM network PUK". Is this because the region lock was never removed? Should the calls have been longer than 6 minutes? I am in Colombia now: how can I remove the region lock ? Would it work to use a European sim card and receive a call from Europe? Or how do I get the requested sim network PUK? Or an NCK or MCK code? FYI, my Colombian sim card itself is not blocked because it still works in my old S6. Please help! Thanks in advance.

Used your solution to unlock mine. They charge $39 for the remote service now too. Did not have the issue with typing slowly although I was careful to type it in so was by no means rushing. Unlockboot.com are the boys, highly recommended, I'd have no worries using again or if you can get a deal on a locked phone buy that and let them work the magic. Samsung tech support not helpful, mines an EU phone (Romania I think) that I did get a good deal on but as soon as they clocked that I was using it in the UK...lost interst big time!! No way it had been hacked or anything it was in sealed packaging and I've done an IMEI check and its a genuine phone, end of as far as i am concerned. My issue was with a Georgian SIM (which is in Europe so why it didnt work on a Euro region locked phone I'm not quite sure...not EU europe maybe??) but fine now.
I purchased S9+ in uae and have used it in uae as well as India. It worked well. But it is not registering on any network in UK using either uk sim card or indian sim card. Please help.
I just tried using UnlockBoot.com, I paid $39 and had a 10 minutes session over Team Viewer. Now my phone is unlocked. I have an S9 running the latest update of OneUI. Make sure you contact them for the remote session using a Windows PC. Their tools does not run over Mac. VERY SATISFIED. THANK YOU

Hi APV Explorer
I have the same problem with my Galaxy S9+ (bought in Switzerland) when I try to use it with my chinese sim card.
Which unlocking service did you use?
Hi there, please read the whole thread, all the answers are there. I wrote earlier:
"Sure. I wrote to about 10 of them, some did not reply, some did not come over as trustworthy and some said they could not unlock dual sim phones. In the end I used UnlockBoot https://store.unlockboot.com/. You can chat with them via their site or write to them via firstname.lastname@example.org. It cost a bit more than some others (USD 49) but they did it via TeamViewer and it was well worth it. Just a tip: once you get the code I had a long delay when entering each digit: enter a digit, wait, listen for the click, then enter the next. Best of luck!"
