Hi,

I have had my S9+ for less than a year and I absolutely love it, but over the past few days the paint has started peeling off the fingerprint scanner and now it isn't always registering my fingerprint.

I have read about this happening in America and they fix it for free under warranty, is there a similar solution here in the UK?

Thanks,

Mark

My samsung note 9's fingerprint scanner peeled off. Does this affect the IP68 rating?

Hi. I have had my S9 for around 2 and a half years. Suddenly I've been getting a message saying my fingerprint scanner isn't working. I tried to get into the settings to disable it but I can't even get in to disable it. A message simply tells me that my fingerprint scanner isn't working.

Just remove the rest of the coating using an adhesive tape and you'll be fine. Don't scratch it!

Expect nothing from them. They take our money and run.
