S9 Androud Pie Upgrade issue with BBC Weather app

I recently upgraded my Galaxy S9 to Android Pie. Each time I start the phone I get the spinning circle on the BBC Weather app and it doesn't load.

Has anyone else experienced this ? If so, have you resolved it ?
