I have a vague red mic logo onscreen in the background. 10mm down from Top right hand corner of the screen. It's there all the time. But more visible when on a white background with the screen brightness turned up. If you look carefully you might see it.
This would indicate a hardware issue. At the moment, only essential repairs are going ahead, but once the lockdown ends, pop into your local Support Centre to get this inspected!
I have the same issue and figured it out. We use Google maps to much. Its called burn in when you leave your phone on a certain screen for periods of time static features will appear. Google maps has the microphone in that position. If you look closer you'll 2 more icon a search and alert one and if you look in the bottom left corner a speed sign. Only remedy is to replace the screen and shut the screen off using maps for long period of times. You can view the maps with one touch to the lock button efficiently then relock so you don't have this issue reoccur.
