Recent app button disappeared

Hi, my recent app button has gone and I would really like it back. I miss it. Don't know if it's anything I did, or how long it's been gone. I'm on an S9. Please help. Thanks

The exact same things happens to me.

However, I've noticed it that, this issue occurs when I use the Secure Folder. ( I use the secure folder 10-20 times every day). After I use secure folder, my recent button disappears, just the recent button and I'm unable to swipe down my notification panel. 

I use a galaxy S9+ and I'm on OneUI. 

I've never had this issue when I was running Oreo.

I find the solution for this problem. Just open "Secured Folder" from apps drawer and will be ok when the "login" page appear. It will be freeze you phone 3 sec when you open the folder.

Hello,

Same for me on Galaxy Note 9, with latest Patch updates from February 1st 2019.

Sometimes I lose the Recent App virtual button on the bottom, and at the same time, the Dropdown notification Panel does not show up anymore.

Rebooting the phone fixes the issue, but it is quite annoying as it happens at least once a day.......

Open Secure folder and press the home button after you see the "login page", if you deactivate the secure folder feature the problem will be solved.

Hello,

When pressing Home button while on secure folder login screen is supposed to do what ? Reproduce the issue, or make the Recent App button re-appear ? (somehow fix the issue, and avoid restarting the phone ?)

I do use the secure folder indeed (through fingerprint unlock). So the issue seems related to Secure Folder then.

Cant disable it though as I need this feature for confidential docs.

Doing that will make the recent button and the notification bar to work again without rebooting the phone. Try this when you have the problem.

ok, it just did it again.

Re-entering into the Secure Folder in fact solves the issue
