Hi I have a Samsung S9+ its near 3 yrs old and is starting to over heat how do I find out what is running in the back ground thanks for any help

Yeah, you need to enable it via devoper mode, but I want someone else to confirm as well.

Old Samsung phones used to have a dedicated Ram option where you can see all the running apps...

Settings, battery and device care, battery, tap on the graph and below you will see what's using your battery.

@eli-loo: Further to the advice offered above you can also free up memory by stopping background apps via Settings > Battery and Device Care > Memory > Clean Now. While in your Battery settings, tap on Background Usage Limits, and place any apps you don't use frequently into the Sleeping or Deep Sleeping Apps sections to limit their battery usage.

If you plan to keep it for a while. I would totally reset it and start fresh again.
If you can help it.

I normally hard reset my phones once a year. Just cause I can :smiling-face:

But then I end up getting new phones every year.
