Hi there,

My S9 was upgraded to Pie about  a week ago and I've jusy noticed that it no longer asks me for the encrytion PIN when I restart it.

The first thing it asks for the the SIM unlock PIN and the the phone starts up fine, it used to ask for the encryption PIN, then do 'veryfing' and 'unlocking' for some seconds before asking to unlock the SIM.

Any idea whats going on? Is my phone still encrypted?

It all seems to work fine once it's started up.

Thanks.

OK - sorted it myself with a (fair) bit of googling...

It seems that installing apps that  turn on accessibility permissions, also turn off 'secure startup' (I was using Macrodroid).

I didn't realise that - I'd expect some kind of warning.
