Lock screen notification problems

When ever I lock my phone on a texting area (such as Instagram DMS or messaging) and then press my "home button" (to show my locked notification screen) it shows the messaging app. You're aloud to type and send messages but once you try to go back, it goes to my lock screen again.

No it's still having the same problems

I'd like to be able to reply to a specific message in my Instagram dms but this feature doesn't seem to exist on my phone.
