Hi Everybody,
I understand there is quite a lot of people raving about the ONE UI operating system Samsung has blessed us with.
I however hate it. Hate is a strong word, but in this case I don't think it's strong enough.
I bought my S9 because that phone felt right. It had an edge of luxury and class from the overal design of it's outer shell to the feel and the design of the UI. Now it just feels like an iphone knock off. The clunky over sized icons, the intrusive backgrounds for notifications, the absolutley hidious rounding of the corners. Yes I get it, it mimics the rounded screen corners but for crying out loud there are better, more subtle ways of doing it. It feels like the phone interface was designed by a layman whom does not understand the devil in the details.
I understand that "specialists" out there said that flat design is coming back, that is no excuse for flat and lasy design in my opinion. I want my transparent backgrounds back, I want my gradients and dropshadows back. I want this phone to feel like I spent the money I did on it, and not some God forsaken iPhone replica.
I don't need some customer support rep explaining to me how Samsung has spent time and money in making the UI benefit it's users, or what your research says about your implementations. I want my old UI back. How can I do that and can I do that without compromising my phone's security?
Thank you.

I couldn't agree more!²
I can't say in words, how much i hate using my cellphone now. I have a note 8, and i'm using galaxu "notes" since note 1, and always loved the stilish interface, and the tons of resurcers and ways to acess them.
Now, to simple double window, i need 5 steps, before 2.
Did I have to deal with this ***** beacuse samsung ***** themselves style?

You can actually revert back to Android 8.0 with Samsung Experience 9.0 I have done so on my Galaxy S8 Plus. I was very excited for the OneUI update to my phone but it seems very cheesy asthetically. Some parts seem out of place like opening the emojis and seeing that they're overly huge for the window they have. There is also noticeable lag between switching through windows, Messages is a great example. And there other little tidbits that you notice as you use it. I had it for a week and went back via Odin since my network connectivity really suffered under 9.0 with OneUI. I would love a March security update though.

You are so right, all I can think of with this update is that Samsung sold out and making an iPhone.
I hate it, no questions asked, also why take away the ability to disable Bixby, it's a waste of a button.

I agree the new ONE UI sucks, it literally turned my Note8 into a Kindergarten phone and it looks and works like a child's toy now with reduced functionality and no elegance or luxury. If I wanted a Windows 10 phone that was trying to copy Apple, then I would have gotten an iPhone. Wow, what a piece of junk and no way to roll it back. My bluetooth fails now, my sounds are glitchy, and some of my games run like ***** now. The camera gallery has been reduced to pre 2010 functionality levels now. I absolutely hate ONE UI too and I demand a rollback!

I got update this morning for my s8+ and I hate it. The navigation bar doesn't go away while watching a video in chrome. I play games on my phone and I used to have "no notifications while gaming" option, now it's gone. Please bring back the different options we had with the navigation bar.
If I'd knew this would happen I wouldn't update the phone THIS IS ANNOYING.

I warmly agree with you. I think samsung should make software like oxygen os or miui. Or they can go for stock android too. I am owner of s10+ amd i hate one ui.

I hope so
I bought a J6 in 2018 and I was very excited for the things than it had, but now with Android one and samsung one UI I'm thinking to give my phone to my dad and save money again and buy another thing, because one UI it's very simple, you have in yoir screen 50% of the word "settings" or something in all samsung apps and the icons are very ugly, I will go to a Samsung customer service and I just hipe than the person who will help me can give me again the phone than i bought

I also hate it with a passion. It has changed my phone so much that I really do not want to use it. I have been loyal to Samsung but my loyalty is being sorely tested. I hope it will he reversed sooner rather than later.
