Hide contacts suggestion when sharing photo from gallery

When sharing a photo from the phones gallery, as soon as i hit the 'share' icon, i get not only a list of possible apps with which to share the photo, but also get 3 or so 'suggested contacts'including their profile pic.

I dont want these contacts to be seen so how do i turn off this feature???

See what apps the people are showing for.  For example Stephanie at the far right upper corner may be for Twitter.  If so, go to your app on your phone, long press it, go to app info, then Storage and Clear data and Clear cache.  The next time you try to share something that user will be removed for the suggest share 😃

just wondering but are the suggestions just the recent people you've messaged or not?

No they are random contacts and random apps most of the times (at least in my case).

I'm having the same problem.  One of my suggestions is a person I e-mailed a couple times months and months ago.

Clearing cache and data removes the suggestion temporarily but once i set up the app again, the same suggestion appears.

I can't wait to switch back to IPhone 🤦🏻‍♂️ theses are the little things....

No, they are not, I came seeking answers to this question because I always get 2 contacts from FB friends that I hardly ever have contact with, one is like an old roommate's ex girlfriend and the other one is an acquittance I met through an old friend from years ago, so I find it odd that whenever I wanna share a pic / video I have those two people as specific suggestions to send via Messenger(?!?!?) so I dunno... valid question though, figured I'd throw my two cents in there since I could give ya feedback from my experience....

Same, I have suggested contacts that I've never messaged, while my girlfriend who I message multiple times per day doesn't show up at all.  It's ridiculous.

•  I was having the same problem,  I have just fixed it.  Go to settings,  Advanced features,  scroll to  " Show contacts when sharing " and switch off. 
• Very easy fix for an annoying problem.
