I have recently got my s9 having transferred from my iPhone. I turned off imessages on my iphone and reset my phone. I can receive messages but I can't send them. They just show as unsent.

Try checking the service centre number.  The way too do this is emplained  HERE

 

The number will depend on your carrier.  Main UK carriers are listed  HERE

As well as turning off imessages on your iPhone did you also De-register from imessages.

Thanks. I went into the vodafone shop and they fixed it. This was the problem.
