Hello,
After updating my Galaxy S9 to latest Android version (G960FXXU7CSJ1/G960FOXM7CSJ1/G960FXXU7CSI6) I tried connecting my phone to my laptop running Windows 10 Home x64 v1903 & to my other laptop running Windows 7 Pro x64 v6.1.7601, but both my laptop failed in at giving me access to transfer files from my Galaxy S9. I tried the below points but still failing. The notification says that my cell in charging every time I connect it to mg laptop.
• I downloaded and installed the correct drivers for both windows.
• I enabled USB debbuging in the developer options menu
• I chose "Transfer Files" under "Default USB Configuration in the developer options menu
• I tried 3 different type-c cables
• I did a hard reset and wiped the cache partition.
• I tried other USB ports on both laptops
Can anyone help access my internal storage so I am able to transfer files from/to my S9.
Thank you.

In reviewing my answer, 6 months later, I see that I was not clear. So let me try again.
The problem I had was that some USB cables only carry power, while other USB cables carry power and signals. Presumably, cables that carry only power are cheaper, and if a device only needs power, then it makes sense to use a cheaper cable. So, the first step in troubleshooting the problem is to plug into the phone to the linux machine. Then, run the lsusb command. If lsusb does not find the device, then either you have a power only cable or else something is fundamentally wrong. If you find the output of the lsusb command confusing (it can be confusing), then run the lsusb command before you plug in the phone, and then run it again after you plug in the phone, and compare the results.
