Bluetooth call pops and crackles

Connected to earpiece Mic over Bluetooth with no issues.

However when I also connect to car stereo and send calls to earpiece then during calls it pops and crackles the sound.

S7 doesn't have problems so assume it's an S9+ issue

Any ideas ?

Hey @ChiliHeadUk

Can you tell us a little more about this? Does this only happen when connecting to Bluetooth on your car stereo? Is the software up to date on your phone?

The phone is paired with an earpiece and a kenwood car stereo dpx-7000-dab

Whenever calls are set to go to the earpiece and media directed to stereo. This is scenario I have the problems.

I don't even need to be connected to the car and I get these problems.

If I unpair stereo it's fine.

If I set calls and media to stereo I think its fine.

Latest software on phone and stereo.

Been happening for 3 months now.

Changed many earpieces as thought they kept breaking.

Hi again, thanks for letting us know. Do you have this issue when connected to other Bluetooth connections or speakers for example? We'd just like to figure out if the issue is only occurring when used with the car stereo. Have you tried disconnecting completely and pairing up both devices again to see if this changes anything?

I've unpaired everything and reset several times.

Cleared caches etc. Factory reset phone and stereo.

Tried with a Bluetooth speaker connected before and no separate issues. Only when paired to stereo and calls sent to earpiece seperately.

Hi @ChiliHeadUk :smiling-face:

Thanks for letting us know! As you are only experiencing this issue when paired with the car stereo, we'd recommend getting in touch with the manufacturer for additional help.

Hope this helps!
