App Icon Count

Hello all,

  I am having an issue on a Galaxy S9 where if I get one text message my app icon will show a random number like 14.  First time I saw it I got all excited.  I thought, "boy my social life is really taking off."   But no it was just one text not 14.  Any ideas how to fix this would be appreciated.

* Note:  Already tried restarts and clearing the the cache in the Badge Provider system app.

That's strange, @cMc214.  Is the software on your phone up to date? Go to Apps > Settings > Software update > Download and install. Also, let's try a soft reset on the phone. This will end all processes and give the phone a fresh start. To do this, press and hold the 'Power' and 'Volume Down' buttons until the phone restarts.
