I think it overides the mute my last samsung did 🤔

I have a galaxy s7 edge and a galaxy s10+ and both phones are used as alarms .... yes they do still make a sound on mute

it should yes, try setting an alarm 2 minutes from now and putting th phone on mute. 2 minute answer 😃

it does. i set my last night and it went off with the sound on mute.
