I have a Samsung S9+ (G965F) and I have yet to receive the OTA update to pie. Is it just me or are there others in the same situation? I have checked manually for the update everyday now for the past two months. Nothing. Please advise.

The sending out of the update is dependent on the phone model being eligible for the update along with country of origin and the serial and build number.

Was the phone supplied directly by Samsung or via a mobile phone contract or via a reseller / Ebay, Amazon ?

It was supplied by Samsung. I mean that it was carried unlocked. I bought my S9+ in India. Also, on a sidenote, whenever I check for the update, it says that im running on a security patch from 1 August, 2018. Isn't that a long time to go without an update?

So in India was the phone bought directly from Samsung  ?

Did you buy the phone in India and now using the phone in another country  ?

Yes. I bought the phone in India and I'm now using it in the UK.

There's the probable issue then.

The phones now put of the country of origin.

Your reliant on the India chain in releasing the update and you receiving it in the UK maybe an issue.

Have you tried smartswitch.

You could look at places such as xdadevelopers and Google Search.

A person doing this does so at their own sole responsibility knowing that a phone can be put Into an unusable state and possible manufacturing warranty being voided.

I would speak to Samsung myself, if you really want the pie update they can probably do it for you at one of their many service centres.

I'd only flash firmware to go back to an older version of android. Let them take the risk to go new.

There was a December security patch then pie came out end of January beginning of February and then a patch for pie in March.
