My OH's S9 has died and I got him a second hand Note 4 for now (nearly upgrade time!) but I cannot get it to recognise his sim, it says Network locked? I bought the note as unlocked phone (it doesn't show any network name on it). The sim slot is I believe a micro sim, and his is a nano. I've also tried using an adapter and have tried using my sim as well (nano) and that one is not even recognised (I.e. doesn't say Network locked) Virgin say their sims will work in any unlocked phone. Have also ordered a new pay as you go sim so I can see if that works.
Is it a problem with the handset or the sim or the network? Any ideas apprecaited!

Also, I get the flowing message and have tried both the Virgin sim unlock default code and PUK code with no luck.
