Using Android 9 or 10, none app that starts hotspot programmatically works on Galaxy S9 or S9+.

Using a Motorola phone with same Android version works without problems.

So, is it a Galaxy problem?

@larini: Which apps are you referring to? It may be a permissions issue, therefore please go to Settings > Apps > Select the relevant app > Permissions, and check to see if any connection options are 'denied'. Alternatively, uninstall and re-install the apps, making sure to accept the relevant permissions when prompted (if applicable).

Hi Andrew, I was using Macrodroid, Automate and Tasker. No problem with permission, by the way.

For sure it's a Galaxy issue.

I got this to work using Bixby Routines.

All other softwares are not allowed to perform this action.
