Occasionally when a phone is glitching the process of a soft reboot by turning the phone Off and On can yield results @MsCat

I too, am having the same problem.  My native Samsung message app no longer works using the "Chat" feature.  I know it's the app because other messagin apps like "WhatsApp" work perfectly.  I like the Chat feature on the Samsung app because it lets you know when the message was delivered and then read.  It also lets you know when the other person is writing you back by showing the infamous 3 dots blinking in sequence.  The message is in blue letting you know you are in "chat" mode.  However, this all stopped as of yesterday.  WHY??

Hi, I had same issue but got sorted. Go to Settings, connections,  Access point names, Hit the 3 dots and Reset to default. Reboot phone. Remove sim card and re-insert. You should be asked to confirm chat settings on start up. And off you go. Hope this helps.
