I'm not going to reiterate the reasons why it sucks as there's already a few useful forums on that. What I want is a step by step procedure for each carrier on how to revert the update without a backup. Had I known what I was getting until, I would have made a backup. There's a lot of people not as tech savvy and/or who don't have the time to figure out how to reverse the update, so I'm hoping to get some clear procedures that people of the internet can flock to.
For me specifically I have T-Mobile. I'm hoping I can plug it into my computer and use Smart Switch to install the old software (firmware?). Please note that I only have a macbook with me, but if I need a windows to do it i can find a windows computer to borrow.
Is this horror of an update limited to Samsung? I just bought the s9 and may to return it. Is the Pixel this ridiculous?
From what remember looking on YouTube I think the pixel might be the same but not all phones. Friends Huawei isn't, he still has all the features he had before and my wife's motorola didn't change much with the update.
I think the problem is the developer team at samsung, a small group of like minded people making decisions that affect a huge range of customers. I think they maybe lost the plot somewhere and cane out with pie. Maybe ex iPhone users lol
I tried the phone in the store, liked the look and feel of it, so I bought it. Now after this update, I have a completely different phone than what I purchased. Whichever moron employee at Samsung came up with this update should be fired and never work in tech again! I thought I was simply making my phone more secure. Not changing it's entire look and functionality. "Kids toy" was an appropriate description. Im going with Apple next time.
