Hi there, upgrading from s23 to S25. When I go into Samsung pass on the s25 I can see my s23 listed but it's asking for my previous pin? Assuming it's my s23's pin, that's not working and I can't see any option to reset it? Appreciate any help

Hi and Welcome.

Couple of things I can think of

1. See if you can login via the Web with your Samsung login and maybe delete the older phone if not required.

2. Would probably have to Factory Reset your phone and Set up as new.

There might be other options available so you might wanna hang on a bit and see if others can pitch in.

I had same issue, it was refusing my old device pin as I think Samsung pass somehow wanted the old device previous pin rather the current one. To confuse things further on the old device there is also a 4 digit pin in the settings for samsung wallet/pass different than device pin...

Solution:

On old device load up samsung wallet/pass, in settings ensure it syncs with Samsung cloud.

On the new device, load up Samsung Pass, after failed attempt, tap skip, it says it will erase the samsung pass encrypted data on new device I moved forward as that indicates only on new device, and then in the app tap settings and sync with Samsung account...(you will need your Samsung password account)

On the new device the passwords sync nicely. I noticed Samsung Wallet app was not on new device despite a full smartswitch, so downloaded that too then... I then notice a set up for a 4 digit pin for samsung wallet which can be different than device pin...

All in all issue resolved :smiling-face:
