Smart view case

Hi all,

Has anyone info about the smart view case for the new galaxy s25 family? 

Looking like Samsung didn't release for the new series 🤬

I,  for one, have loved the S-View covers! They protect the screen, lock my phone when I close it, and I really like the little view screen!

I hope they haven't discontinued it...

Yes they did and it was a stupid decision. I doubt that Samsung will cry over my decision not to purchase my usual annual upgrade but maybe I'm not alone. I already see promotions and rebates on S25 products. Mind you, this started already 2024 with the flimsy low quality S-view cover. Now, they have dropped it.

Hi! I did it! I ordered the same smart view case that I used to use when it was provided by Samsung.

Price is about 20 Swiss Francs, which are more or less 19 Euros.

Then, I had to activate my phone by putting the back of the phone close to the activation point of the case and then download the app:

Good news: it works as it was with S23 Ultra.

Possible bad news: I have no idea if this app is secure. When installing it, following text  was displayed: "The app will not collect relevant data and is limited to local use on the device" (see picture).

I would feel safer if Samsung could test this app and give it some "clearance" for use without danger.

Any help or support from anyone would be very much appreciated.

That exactly why I don't recommend this type of cases. The sketchy Chinese app will collect user information and it also draws battery. I will not used it if I were you. And samsung hasn't approved it and never will.

Hi Thomas André, you're right. I still downloaded the app and tested it for 24 hours. This app drains a lot of battery. As a result, I uninstalled the app and am waiting to see if Samsung will officially offer this product.

In the absence of other options, I'm seriously considering switching back to the Samsung S24 Ultra since the case I want is available.

Same observation as others have reported. So that makes me believe that the app is collecting and sending data.. . 

Samsung will not make official s-view cases for the s25 series. If they would it would be available at launch.

I will not downgrade just because of a lack of s-view cases. Plenty of good options. I rock the spigen zero one black case with the ringke flipp wallet magnetic case. The flip cover case is great when I need more protection.

Hi and this could be a final word: without any information provided by Samsung about the next availability of a clear view wallet case, I decided to go back to S24 Ultra. By the same ways, I got my Bluetooth pen back.

Happy and sad ending at the same time.
