Hi! Welcome to the samsung members community!

Im so lost what you mean by LED? Where? Example?

*had to google it- Phones haven't had LED light anywhere for a long time-
You can use edge lighting to mimic notifcations/ or apps which do the same

*assuming you dont mean flash

Yes, that led light had its use. Gone now for many years. You can use apps that mimic it or edge lighting

Hi, they removed the notification light from 2019, on the s10 model.

I can remember the old led that used to flash when you had a notification. Nowadays with all the social media apps and messaging apps it would be flashing all day. 😂

Yes, this is really disappointing! My top of the Galaxies phone is incapable of letting me know I have missed messages and calls! 😡 This is a basic function! The most normal thing in the world is not noticing messages and calls at the moment they arrive, but Samsung only notifies me at that moment and never again until I turn on the screen! I’ve been missing lots of messages and calls and only replying hours later simply because I didn’t know they were there!

It’s very unpleasant having to download and try several 3rd party apps which are limited, try to make you pay for premium, make things complicated and don’t even work properly (if you want them to actually work as a LED notification, without "always on display" mode, you have to pay).

Who the hell thought not having this very basic function would be a clever idea?!!!

The only thing I can think of why they don't want you to simply glance at your phone to know there are messages is because they want to force you to check your phone more for notifications and encourage screen addiction and make more profits with their apps. This is no secret: software designers use psychological tricks to make people addicted in the name of profit. Why else wouldn't they implement a light notification to emulate LED? If apps can, Samsung can too.
