Google pay seemingly broken s25

Heyo all. Seems one of the new device bugs has shown up. The Google wallet app doesn't allow contactless to be setup on any card.

A quick search shows I'm not the only one, so it seems the security that handles contactless hasn't been updated to support the new phones. Or at least the banks haven't allowed it yet.

Samsung pay works just fine, though the number of supported banks are lower.

Hi your not the only one who is having this problem. It only seems to occur when u change to a new phone. I have had it on my S23+ and S25+ and my friend is having same problem on A16 i think its a security feature at google wallet that if too many contactless cards have been activated it thinks theres some fraud going on. Google support was useless they always blame the bank even tho it was 3 different banks and 2 credit cards different companies. Best thing to do is goto google and search for google payment methods remove all of them wait about a week then try adding them again. Hopefully this issue will resolve its a pain in the behind tho especially after we have all become reliant with paying on our phones. Might be worth using samsung pay for a bit then try g wallet again a few weekd later

For me its happening wirt samsung pay. There is no option for me in samsung pay to setup iris authentication. It only allows me to setup fingerprint in s25

Iris authentication hasn't been a thing since the S8. It got removed a long time ago. Unless you are on an S8 right now, then I'm not sure what's up

I'm having the same issue works perfectly fine on my older Samsung but cannot add my Natwest debit  or credit card to my s25 ultra. Spoken to bank and Google no issues on their side. It's so frustrating.

Hi all, exact same issues for me. Card works fine on 23 ultra for contactless but not having any of it on the s25 ultra. It's saying cannot complete set up. From what I've read on this forum, it appears to be a banking security issue and they've not updated their system to accept s25 as a safe device? I have asked natwest to send me a new token code but they say they can't do that on Cora. It's so frustrating. Been through Google support and still on natwests digital chat with a person. Won't close the chat log til it's resolved.
Even considering sending s25 back to my network provider and resorting back to s23 at this point

I've also contacted natwest, they told me they've started an investigation to find out what's going on. My advice is to use Samsung pay and setup Samsung pay plus/curve

Looks like for me it's a MasterCard issue. Visa accounts are fine

To confirm my HSBC and Revolut are visa cards. My Tesco is a MasterCard.

Can anyone else confirm if it's a MasterCard related issue?

Are NatWest using MasterCard? My Tesco is a MasterCard and won't work whereas my visa cards are working ok.
