Hi,
Samsung is sending emails to users about their accounts being deleted due to inactivity. This is a legitimate policy to manage inactive accounts and protect user data. To prevent account deletion, users need to log into their Samsung accounts before the specified date (July 31st, 2025).

Here's a breakdown:

Policy: Samsung is implementing a policy to delete inactive accounts.

Inactivity: Accounts inactive for 24 months or more are considered for deletion.

Notification: Users receive email notifications before their accounts are deleted.

Action Required: To prevent deletion, log into your Samsung account before the deadline (July 31st, 2025).

Data Loss: Deleting an account also removes associated data, including Samsung Cloud data, backups, and other services.

Legitimacy: This is a legitimate policy and not a scam

I believe as long as you login using your Samsung account you should be OK

If it's from samsung, then it shouldn't be a scam. Everyone has received one due to data protection laws. I've also had one sent either April/May

Funnily this has been an issue with some of my friends who use samsung, it's mostly phishing scams because even when you lig in to it on the phone itself it should count as use of the account and samsung only delete accounts which have been dead a while

It's just a reminder to those who don't use samsung products anymore. As they will be impacted by this policy, having their accounts deleted. As long as you're signed in and using your phone normally, then you should be ok.
