Double messages app being on the menu, not sure if it is 2 packages installed or whether it's just a shortcut issue, any way I found this after reverting back to one ui 7

Hi, I noticed the same thing on my non-samsung device (oppo N5)
At first I thought the worst, but when you long press on each icon it gives you different options for both.

I'm not a beta specifically for messages, think it mightve enrolled me onto their beta for one ui 8 beta 4 but I rolled my phone back to one ui 7

Check the Google Messages app in the Play Store and see if you have the beta version. If so you can revert back to the standard version from there.
