Super fast charging stopped working after update

Hello, 

I have just updated my phone to the latest security patch and now my fast or super fast charging does not work at all amd I can only charge at a slow rate.

I have the samsung cable and plug that supports 45w charging and all was working fine till I updated.

How can I get a fix for this please 🙏

Ironically, the previous update caused me this excat same issue, but the patch released today by Samsung has now fixed this, and i am able to super fast charge my Samsung 24 Ultra.

@Barlowfromdarlo: When you connect to your charger, does the battery icon turn blue/turquoise, as if so then this indicates that Super Fast Charging is working as expected. Similarly, if you head to Settings > Battery, does it say 'Super Fast Charger connected' below the progress bar at the top of the screen? 

If the above is not applicable, please can you confirm if you are using an official Samsung 45W plug adapter?

Hello and thanks for your reply, I can confirm I have the official Samsung 45W plug along with the cable that come with the phone.

In the settings the only option to turn on is "fast charge" and that is turned on.

The battery icon turns blue, and when I look to see what type of charge it is receiving it just says "charging" and no longer displays the "super fast 2.0 connected" message

Also when I do charge the phonr the time it takes and displays is alot longer than it used to be. 2hours 5min at 59%

On a side note I have tested it with another known working 45W charger and cable and I still have the same issue.

Strange one indeed maybe different modle numbers have been affected in different ways

I am on the same update, BYEC, and superfast charging is working as expected. Please note that superfast charging only works when the battery is low and it only works until 80-ish percent. The last 20-ish percent will charge a lower speed. I am not sure which is the cut off percentage, hence the 80-ish/20-ish.

The  "super fast 2.0 connected" message only shows when connecting the cable, then it just says charging.
