How do I get the latest security patch level for my S24 Ultra? My security patch level is still on May 1, 2024, yet my wife's phone, bought at the same time, both from Sky, has the December security patch level. My phone keeps saying it's up to date, and I have had no updates since May.

Normally I'd say check if your sim is from a different country or your phone is from a different region but if it's from sky, that won't be the case. Try turning your phone off, removing your sim card, turning your phone on, check for updates. So checking for updates with no sim. If that fails, try turning your phone off, put your wife's sim in your phone, boot your phone, check for updates. So checking for updates with a known fine sim. If that fails, I'm out of ideas.

Failed updates are normally region and sim related, hence my suggestions

Hello @Mikey1979 and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋

Software updates that also include Security patches are sent out in waves dependant on region , phone model eligibility and also by the phone's build and serial number.

Your wife's phone will have a different build and serial number which might be the reason her phone's received the update ,and yours has not yet.

You could also try Samsung SmartSwitch via a Computer > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-update-your-samsung-galaxy-phone-or-tablet.

If you have a Samsung Experience Store local then they might be able to help.

Sometimes inserting an active sim card from another Network can help too.

Other than that it's a case of periodically checking the phone's software update.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

@Mikey1979: If you connect to a stable Wi-Fi network, then head to Settings > Security and privacy > Updates > Security update, are you able to manually check for an update from here?

If so, and if no updates are available, please can you confirm if you are currently based in the UK, and using a UK network SIM?

I have manually checked for updates constantly, but it still says my phone is up to date. My wife's phone also has the Galaxy AI setting tab in Settings, between Connected Devices and Modes and Routines, but I don't have the Galaxy AI tab. I am based in London, UK, and both our networks are with Sky.

@Mikey1979: The Galaxy AI tab in the Settings menu was introduced as part of a later Security update, which would explain why you're not seeing it on your device. If you are unable to update your phone OTA, you may wish to try Smart Switch on a home computer, as per the advice offered above by @BandOfBrothers.

The inability to update one of our devices usually indicates that it is not intended for use in your current location. While I understand that you have purchased your phone from Sky, a UK based company, you may wish to speak with them directly to enquire about the possibility of a replacement. I understand that this is far from ideal, and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.
