Hello!
I've read quite a few discussions both on here and Reddit about the S24 Ultra battery drainage but I can't seem to find out if my phone is working properly or not.
When I got the phone I transfered all my data from my previous Z Flip 4 through Smartswitch, and when the process completed I noticed that overnight the battery was draining extremely fast.
I checked and I had Google Play Services interfering like crazy, so I tweaked a few things and managed to behave normally.
I don't know what I did and my notifications stopped working unless I turned wi-fi on, so after messing around the settings I also managed to resolve that issue.
I've been using this phone for a week, and I've noticed that the battery is not draining too fast now per se, but if I use apps like Instagram, X, Aliexpress and so on the battery drops way faster, even if I keep power saving on and I don't use maximum resolution and the best features on.
After a full charge and careful usage, I end the day with something like 50-60% battery left.
Is it ok? Should I restore to factory settings and install my apps from scratch? Am I worrying over nothing?
Thank you

I looked into the Play Services thing and it was actually messing with my battery so I had to tweak things to stop the craziness.
I guess I'll look into each app as well for the background activities, I already blocked most of the notifications from them and then I'll see if something changes.
After all I have just a few apps that I need to be constantly on like whatsapp or the bank one.
I remember looking into settings for the past week trying to solve every issue possible but I have to admit it's kinda crazy spending almost 2000$ on a phone and then having to mess with all kinds of settings to make it function normally...

I went back to 4G since the difference is not much and 4G is easier on the battery.
I bought this phone to have great battery, camera, resolution and stuff and here we are tweaking things to not let it die at the end of the day.
My Flip 4 barely lasted after a full use during the day but I can't possibly accept a similar battery life span on a S24 ultra.

Little update!
I wiped the partition cache like you suggested and I put all the apps in deep sleep except for those that I use daily (bank, whatsapp, instagram, telegram and paypal).
After a full charge my phone says that battery has 1 day 14 hours left (with power saving on) and 1 day 6 hours left (with power saving off).
Under that, it says that a full charge will last 1 day 7 hours.
It stayed at 100% for a great while and I didn't even touch the phone, I heard some notifications coming and I just checked what those were through the lockscreen but nothing else.
The battery dropped to 99 and shortly after to 97, even though I was just checking some settings stuff and did not use it for anything else.
I browsed Aliexpress and Pinterest for half an hour and it dropped to 90%, turned it off and this morning a few app updates and a couple Instagram notifications used another 4% of the battery and now is at 86%.
Again, it's constantly on power saving, almost all the apps are on deep sleep and the screen resolution is FHD+, not even QHD+.
It kinda bugs me to not be able to use my phone at its full potential cause scrolling through an app may cause a 10% battery drop in less than 15 minutes.
Any thoughts? Should I wait some more time or should I try a factory reset?
I'm kinda going crazy over this stuff I just don't know when to worry or not...

I'm having similar issues, switched from my 4 year old iPhone and even though I have optimized my Galaxy s24 ultra for best battery saving with all the various settings (except I don't use power saving mode, can't stand the limited refresh rate on the display) I literally watch the battery meter drop like 3-5 percent just for having the display on for like 10 minutes tops and not even using a 3rd party app. My 4 year old iphone was way better than this. I'm disappointed, considering returning but unfortunately I already sent my iphone for the trade in so not sure if I'm able to get it back. I've had the phone for like 2 weeks so it should have "learned" my usage patterns by now. Samsung support has not been helpful at all. Honestly you shouldn't have to go through the pain of factory resetting a phone and redoing settings and putting your data back on it, for the cost it should work out of the box, so honestly I would return it if you can.

You're totally right, I've read countless threads about battery issues and people returning or messing with settings and resetting the system so it could work properly.
I'm coming from a Z Flip 4 so the actual performance of my new phone is obviously better, I just don't know if it's actually as it should be or if something's wrong and I'm getting suspicious.
I don't want to return it cause I don't have other backup phones to work with, I also don't think it's faulty cause I've been reading about far worse issues, but I don't understand if something is messing up the performance (smartswitch transfer?) or if I have too high expectations and everything's fine.

I tried that too, but it wasn't that helpful.
I turned on my phone this morning at 90% and, since I'm at work, I didn't have the opportunity to use it that much except during lunch break and few other moments and right now I'm at 64%, with everything in deep sleep and battery saving on.
I guess I'll try a factory reset and then I'll install all the apps from scratch, but if the problem persists I guess I'll return it.

It won t work mate. Already tried everything on mine except wipe cache bc i found out about it just now. I have the same problems as you and few others (after i charge it the battery dropps immediately 1% than a few more very fast and it stabilizes around 70 to 50% then from 50 to 30% again faster then usual. Besides this after reboot is overheating like hell or if i use apps like chrome, instagram or tiktok. Return it if you can or ask for a replacement. I have mine since 26th january and nothing really changed.

I'm also having this issue... i actually only started having the issue AFTER the update, it was working fine with no issues. I don't use the phone much other than browsing, whatsapp and twitter, the past two days i've consciously tried to minimise usage and switched to 4g only, lower refresh rate etc and i barely reach to 2pm from 7 in the morning. No idea what has changed other than the update.
Anyone had any success?
