Hello,, I've just received my S24 Ultra and compared to my S21 Ultra the colours on the S24 Ultra are washed out and not as Saturated?, I've adjusted all the display settings and still cannot get the colours to match the older S21 Ultra, I've contact samsung uk customer service they went through Smart Tutor and couldn't find anything amiss has anyone else found this to be the same on their S24 ultra? I'm not sure if Samsung UK are aware of this issue? And whether a software update will solve it?, I suspect it's the new Gorilla glass amour glass which is anti-reflective which is great but not at the expense of colour, I'm seriously considering returning the S24 ultra and keeping my S21 Ultra

There's a balance to find between oversaturated and dull. OLED displays are meant to produce deep blacks and great contrast. This panel looks like a LED screen and for the price that's not really great. At least, Samsung should offer their customers to go for the standard THEY set for years and let others aiming at more natural colors go for  it.

Amen... I'm holding my S21 Ultra next to it, even after fiddling with Contrast level in Developer Settings. Nowhere near as good. I feel like I got ripped off

So you are saying Samsung should remove vivid mode?

The new panel on s24u is rubbish.
Get a dark greay wallpaper, go in a pitch black room ,brightness to minimum and you'll see.
I did this side by side with my s23u(good that i didn't traded in), on s23u the grey image is uniform and no grainy ,on s24u , 3 horizontal lines across the screen, and you can clearly see some diagonal pattern (more like pixels on older lcd), thats why the screen looks grainy i believe.
I noticed the s-pen doesn't write around the edge of the screen if draw short lines around the screen, on s23u,despite the fact it has curved glass,no issues.
See the photos below, each phone on the same settings/brightness at 3%, the brighter photo is on a white background

I just made a side by side comparison with my very old S10 phone and even the S10 is brighter than the S24 Ultra. Where is the promised breakthrough in brightness? A phone which is 5 years older is brighter than the new flagship. What happened here?

A con or a firmware flaw... This phone is supposed to be well over 2,000 nits and the screen is worse than 5 year old phones. This, legit, is going to be my last Samsung phone - if they don't resolve the issue. I'll go to a Xioami or a quality Chinese phone company. They cost lost, provide faster charging speeds, and I'm sure the screens are better than this trash

Yep, I feel like my S24U screen quality is grainy. I feel like I'm looking at an old LCD screen. Also, when I watch videos on YouTube. The section of the screen that is cut off (letterboxing) I've noticed the screen moves underneath, it's grainy and it reminds me of when you press on a calculator screen and it looks like an oil spill. I'm hoping a SW update will be issued, because so far, I'm not impressed. Give me more glare over this, I hardly use my phone outside anyway, so I don't care about anti reflection.

Last year, the s23u had problems with oled panel,it wasn't properly put together, Samsung issued a notice saying it is totally fine, i wonder what they will say this time around?
In order to return the phone i need to call Samsung UK as if i go on my order, there is the option to return it,but as soon as i click confirm it tells me "something went wrong" call us...cheeky,😅.
