S24 Ultra (Slab) or ZFOLD4 (Foldable) ?

As previous an owner of the S20 Ultra, then straight into foldables i had not looked back at slab phones.

After spending 24 hrs wiwith the S24+ and Ultra, the power, camera, battery and robustness has me torn.

I realised how bad my ZFold4 camera is vs the S24 Plus, let aline the Ultra.

However I adore the ZFold4 unfolded screen, multitasking windows, ditched my S8 Ultra tablet as the screen size means I rarely need to swap to a tablet or laptop to do something.

I recall at Unpacked saying to a Samsung representative the S24 Ultra is big, he just looked and me holding my ZFold4 🤔

I think I will hold out for the ZFOLD6 and see if it offers a camera to match the S24 Ultra, if not I think I will be back to a slab and tablet.

I was torn also when my daily driver was the Fold³ which I really appreciated for media consumption and multi tasking @Obsydian , however I knew that I wanted to move back to a slab style phone, and eventually pulled the trigger for the Samsung Galaxy s²³ Ultra and traded in the Fold³ at the same time. 

Do I miss the Fold³ 🤔  Occasionally yes when I think of the multi tasking I could achieve and media consumption but I'm content now with a slab phone.

Hoping the next foldable comes with a top camera as it comes with a top end price.

I just couldn't decide, so have had both foldable and slab.
Nothing beats unfolding to the large screen and enjoying media on it or even maps.
But I love the S23 Ultra and especially the cameras. Though I have to say that the Fold 5 cameras are decent.
Trouble is with the foldables, they are so cramped inside. It will be difficult to get larger sensors in.
But technology is ever advancing so you never know

For me it's got to be a slab I'm still a strong believer of phones shouldnt have moving parts. Foldables are still in beta as they break all the time and really the big screen is good but the aspec ratio for watching content means it's pointless. Not to mention the ultra give you more for alot less. This is just my opinion though and maybe in a few years I will get one. I like the idea but for me it's just not good enough yet.

General consensus on the Web is that the Fold 6 will have...exactly the same camera they've had for the past 3 years. I love the big screen but object to being charged more for a worse camera and a smaller battery. I'm getting the S24 Ultra tomorrow.
