Just got a brand new S24+ and tbh, the camera quality, especially when it comes to indoor photos in artificial light, is worse than I could have ever imagined. Knowing last year's S23+ and Ultra, this year's S24 seems a major downgrade.
I see severe color noise, fuzzy skin and hair and washed out colours. If the colour issue can be easily corrected with a quick edit, the other two: noise and people skin and hair processing are not. I could shoot in RAW and edit after but this is not the point.
I have tried to switch all sort of settings from On to Off and back again, within the Camera app settings and Camera Assistance. Expert Raw is having another problem by applying heavy contrast and sharpening, ruining the entire picture. Curious if anyone has found anything to at least improve a bit because it is quite clear the entire processing of the camera is subpar? If this is what Samsung calls "Smart AI processing", it is a real joke, remembering me the last year's iphone 14 with the same oil paint, fuzziness and mediocre camera processing.

I TOTALLY AGREE!!!
I am so disappointed.
I have Samsung during years never change it and didn't want to, but I went for my 22 (what was actually in perfect conditions is in my sister hand right now) to this 24plus, like someone who do shootings and pictures camera is also of course really important. Now I miss my pink 22!
Not even Software update can't and didn't help this disappointment from camera and phone.. For 1200e what a disappointment.

Yup! My s23+ took WAY BETTER selfies and the software editing is absolute garbage in this phone. The grainy look is worse than my digital camera had in 2009!

Nope, they didn't do anything and they clearly don't care. They will do what they've done the last couple models and only put effort into the ultra and screw the rest

Exactly! A friend of mine has the Ultra and I compared the cameras the other day. It is a world of a difference. It is outrageous how Samsung abandons the other phones of the series. I will attach photos again here comparing the S24 Ultra with the S24+. Skin tones on the S24+ still look so unnatural and reminiscent of a corpse. The Ultra does a much better job here in terms of natural and accurate skin tones. I wonder what they did with the 24fe - didn't have a chance yet to check it out - but would be interesting. I really wish I could return the 24+ for a full refund. Also have a hard time trying to sell it - it feels immoral to sell a phone when the camera sucks. I'm still using my s10+ - while I'm still waiting for a camera update on the S24+.

Right??? I got scared when I saw my skin on camera lol
I hate it soooo much, and it saddens me, cause I really liked the phone 😭 It just arrived and I'm thinking seriously about returning it... Pictures taken on Pro mode are similar to the S24 Ultra, but I don't want to have to always take pictures using pro mode.
