So.. as the title says.. who will be returning a phone from the new S24 line-up because of issues related to the screen?Less saturated, grainy screen etc.

Please comment bellow, thank you!

I still have until the 9th of Feb to decide.. I am still on the fence with this one! And it looks more and more like the Vivid mode, not beeing as saturated as on the older phones, is meant to be like this and there will be no fix for it.

Does not bother me one bit. Also samsung will come up with an update about it. for what the phone does and is the vivid, saturation colour thing is nothing.

For me, I'm not seeing these issues although when selecting vivid over natural there appears little change.

So no for me, I'll be keeping my S24 Ultra.
I am not employed by Samsung nor do I receive any remuneration as a Samsung Members Star.

My device is an S25 Ultra.

No.

I honestly don't understand what the fuss is about but:
1- I have it on natural mode (people who like vivid seem to have the issue)
2 - I don't have the diagonal lines some are experiencing
3 - I think the screen is great!

There are a lot of different posts mentioning it's going to be fixed, some are saying completely the opposite that it was meant to be like this. So you'll just have to use your gut feeling wether to send it back or not.

It is a big no for me, I will not return the phone for this.

I have never used the vivid mode. I also think that, the problem is that it has not been implemented properly and a fix will be released.

I would consider returning the phone if there is a hardware or fundamental flaw, but no for the vivid mode.

It's a no for me. Even though I'm a 100% vivid mode user, the colour shift isn't a big deal. Looking at it side by side to my previous phones, it really isn't worse, in fact I can notice more improvements over just a simple tonal shift. The camera is superior to the S23 Ultra and looking at 200MP shots in various lighting conditions, I think the S24 has made a big bump in quality and clarity.

As for the grainy screen thing, I haven't seen anything like that, no matter the brightness level.

Honestly speaking however, just because others will keep their phone or not, it doesn't mean you should base any decision on that. You either are dissatisfied with it or not, don't make that choice based on others opinions. I'd also suggest not counting on a "fix" in the future, you will only be disappointed if it never materialises and in which case, be left with a phone you were never satisfied with.

I sadly have the diagonal lines and grain issue, it's saddening. I really hope Samsung addresses it and is able to fix it, because I really don't want to return this phone, I love it. But I can't deal with these issues.

Initially, I had some reservations about the device. However, after using it for several days, I have come to appreciate its features. I am particularly impressed with the ability to use my phone in direct sunlight without any issues. I hope that a future update will address the issues with vivid mode. Additionally, I am pleased with the battery life, which is a significant improvement compared to my previous devices, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5. I will be keeping this device.
