Microphone issues

I'm having strange on/off issues with my microphone on my s24 ultra when trying to record voice/audio notes for messages. Its not picking up my voice, or any sound for that matter on text, WhatsApp or even in the actual sound recorder. Works if I open the camera and record a video. Sometimes works on Google to search, sometimes doesn't, that sometimes seems to kick it up the ***** into working again but not every time. My settings haven't changed, it just started Sunday very randomly. It'll not work for a few hours and then it'll be ok, and then not work again, then be ok again. 🤷🏻🤦🏻 I have double checked the settings for the permissions etc.... I've turned the phone on and off, I've even reset the phone(not factory reset) even uninstalled WhatsApp and reinstalled it. Any body else having or had something similar? TIA

Are you able to run Diagnostics from your device to see if there is a fault?

I've done the microphone diagnostic and it just shows an issue with the bottom microphone.

Ok so if it cannot be resolved via diagnostics, you'll need to book a repair via Samsung.

It can be sent away (they do factory data reset devices as part of that) or if you push, they'll come to your home and fix it onsite.

Warranty is 2 years usually in the UK

I've just been on the phone. I couldn't hear/understand him properly, so I wasn't sure what he said, its.going off for a repair. But I'd rather them time to my home and try to repair it so im not without my phone for 11days.

So you'll have to request a home repair if it is available in your area.

Otherwise, are you anywhere near a Samsung Experience Store?

About 43miles from an experience store, and about 2 miles from a samsung support centre. I'll have to ring them tomorrow now they're shut. Ive had the phone less than a year and it's been full of issues. The S pen doesn't work for some reason, issues with the sim card, so now im on an e sim so not sure I can even transfer than to a temporary phone and now the microphone.
