The latest software update (installed 5th May 2025) for my Samsung S24 (so annoyed and disappointed)

Today (well, yesterday actually) I received a notification to install a new software update on my 'only just recently purchased' Samsung S24 mobile phone. Like most Samsung users would do, I agreed to and installed this latest Samsung / Android mobile phone update, thinking that the upgrade would make improvements to my mobile phone etc. 

Well, immediately after this new software upgrade installation was completed and my phone restarted and was operational again much regret came upon me. This latest software upgrade by Samsung / Android has completely changed the on screen look and features of my phone (that I've always been use to with Samsung). I seriously regrate ever installing this latest software upgrade and despite my desperate attempts of doing lots of searches online, for ways of rolling-back / reversing this latest software upgrade have all been unsuccessful. If you are a Samsung user, take note here and be warned about this!

Like most customer service help or responses these days being very minimal or totally non-existent, I'm not expecting any help or offer of assistance from Samsung itself or whether this (now, regrettable) software download / upgrade I made, can or will be fixed by Samsung.

Also hate the update. I never have liked the bubbly look and now apps being opened is different. Really unfortunate. Updates are great but not when you're forced into a look and feel you don't like

I had to clear my cache. Not perfect but helped.

Yeah it's actually infuriating how bad the update is. I can't swipe up to toggle between recently used apps, the entire top of my screen now scrolls down to notifications and won't show on my normal lock screen (or shows too much. I just want a preview like before), and my WhatsApp is now ***** up where it won't even scroll down to show a new message which is absolutely bonkers stupid. 

I would hope they would actually test updates before sending them out.

It's HORRIBLE! Google immediately tried forcing me to use their messages service after many tries I finally got it back to samsung, not sure how that was connected to the update?? My Battery usage bubble is gone from the top tool bar. My Message short cut is completely gone. The way the displays are now look so generic and ugly. I thought it had somehow switched on the "easy" option but thankfully? Not. Bad, Bad update. I've been playing with my phone all day trying to get if functionable again. So sad about this.

PLEASE correct this latest update and make our phones more Android instead of looking freaking Apple phones! For first time in over the many years of using only Android/Samsung phones, this is the first update that SUCKS! And the many years that we've seen Apple mimic all the great things about our phones, it know looks like the role has changed and we are trying to be like them!

Samsung won't undo the update. So instead, how about you say the issues you have and we can offer suggestions to tweak them to be more of something you'd like

Oh I should also say android 16 base looks quite a bit like one ui 7. So every android phone will probably look like this soon

Can you explain more about the Goodlock app? Where would one find this app & what does it do exactly? I hate the new update

I look at my iPhone and my Samsung and can't see the similarity that is so frequently exlaimed. Strange
