Is it normal for a recorded video lasting less than 6 minutes to take up almost 6GB?

And the quality is mildly terrible. And the video is saved as mp4.

Did my own testing, having log on uses a ton of space compared to it being off. Hdr adds some extra storage but nowhere near as much as log does

The video being mp4 doesn't mean much as that's just a file container. The actual video is HEVC and the audio is AAC.

Depends on the purpose of the video. Do you have high bit rate videos enabled?

Also using 4k 60fps might be using a really high bit rate just as a default.

Try 1080p 60fps, see the file size of that.

As my thoughts. That's high quality pro video. But it's way too high for normal consumer video recording

High quality pro video? The video is desperate, what a first class quality, the video is horrible 😂 and took 6GB for that 💩

It's only in uhd but the picture resolution is high so that alone will take some space if it was in 4k would be a lot more

I also turned off HDR10+, and only then did I get about the same MB as you.

I don't really record videos, and once I set the video settings to what I saw on YouTube and forgot about it, now I've turned it off 😂. Now I don't know, since I recorded at night maybe it didn't turn out so bad, I'll take the best frames and delete the video, it won't even upload to Photos 😂
