I had a strange thing happen, almost completely darkened screen

I was on a terrace in very bright sunlight, and when in direct sunlight, it was also rather warm. 

I go to pay and my screen is almost completely black.  I honestly thought my phone had died. 

I restarted my phone by long pressing the power button and I managed to see those circular icons to Restart, Lock down, etc. 

Now, I could just barely see those icons but continued, restarted my phone, and all was well. 

I really don't believe I accidentally darkened the screen by inadvertently pressing a setting to do just that  ... or am I wrong and that's exactly what I did? 

Very strange. I do have Quick Tools enabled so it is possible I inadvertently caused this issue. 

Thoughts?

Possible that the phone dimmed down the screen to prevent overheating for whatever reasons.

Completely off topic, but how do you enable that menu? Looks useful 🫣

That Quick Tools utility is in GoodLock / One Hand Operation +.

GoodLock has so much, it's easy to use something and then forget where you enabled it.

You'll have to assign a swipe movement from either the left or right handle to Quick Tools.  This can get overwhelming but just about everything I need is accessible from my Home page.

I've assigned it to the left and customised the options. Honestly never knew this was a thing, thanks again.🙂
