Hi all,

Why does the camera quality look better on the S21 Plus than it does on the S24 Plus?

For example, zooming or even taking a nighttime shot.

Does anyone know why this is?

Many thanks!

S21 ultra is a bit more eye popping and saturated compared to the natural tones of the s24 + and onwards.

So why is that and how do you fix it?

Samsung is just moving to more natural looking images and true to life colours.

You could go into Settings > Display > Screen mode > and Turn ON Vivid if its on natural.

Also you can also post edit your photos in gallery.

Or

Apply Filters while taking photos in the camera app.

But it isn't natural? For example, taking a nighttime shot, the colours look purple (space)? It was better on my S21 Plus than my S24 Plus.

Thanks. My display is on vivid.

But I shouldn't have to do that because before it was so much better.

If you compare you will see a lot of difference.

Just use your new phone and you will get used to the new algorithms.

Samsung has changed the camera processing over the years.

You might be able to see some videos on you tube about the shift in processing.

It is what it is.
