Hello @thatsashame and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👍
Personally I'm not seeing such outcomes with the photo's I take on my Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra.
Some users choose to also download certain apps from the Galaxy Store and Playstore such as Expert Raw etc and Photo Editor Pro.
If you perform a forum search you may find existing threads with some further help or guidence within.
i.e https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-s24-series/how-to-use-expert-raw
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎
Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.
The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

@thatsashame: To begin with, please ensure that the rear camera module of your S24 Ultra is clean, as dirt or foreign objects on the camera lens can interfere with autofocus. I recommend cleaning the lens with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to avoid scratching or damaging it. Also, if you have a case or cover on the device, make sure that it doesn't cover the edges of the camera lens which can also prevent the camera from focusing.
When you open the Camera app, please make sure that you are in 'Photo' mode, then tap on the viewfinder to bring the image into focus. For the best results, please make sure that you are in a well-lit area, and you are not too close to the subject.
If the rear camera still won't focus, then please open the Camera app > Tap the cog in the top left > Reset settings > Reset, to see if this helps. You should also check for available updates via Settings > Software update, Settings > Security and privacy > Updates, and via the Camera app > Settings > About Camera.

I got the phone for the advertised camera quality but honestly it's a waste of money! Should've gotten an iPhone instead and I'm not even an iPhone fan!!

I have had same issue with my S22 Ultra's camera at times. Installed and use Expert Raw and not an issue at all since. Getting the S25 Ultra nextmonth. Maybe it'll be resolved?
The moderator made good suggestions. However. What's odd is I might be taking a photo in reasonable light. It will be fine half the time. Other half it won't focus. But if I light my lighter or aim camera at brighter object it'll focus. Next Pic. I might have to do it again. Or not. My camera lenses are cleaned nearly as often as I do my eyeglasses every day. I'm thinking it may be an issue with the camera and most of the time we may be taking pics in daytime brightness so the problem doesn't show up. Also. I've switched to Expert Raw and it immediately focuses. Switch back to phones photo and blurry.
