Here are some photos before and after the update.

Top photos are BEFORE
Bottom photos are AFTER

I tried to get them to match up as close as possible.

Let me know what you think of the update!

Tbh I like the photos before and after. I never really had a problem with the camera. What I really want is fast processing in low light and sharp pictures when 100x zoom it's used. And the phone to heat less and consume less battery when I use the camera.

They look the same tbh

Like Star_girl, I never had a problem with the camera. I thought it was better than the S23 Ultra and that's saying a lot for a brand new camera setup vs a matured system in the S23 Ultra.

I've noticed the zoom transitions are working better now.

Very true I agree with you. I haven't seen low light photos since the update or the shutter speed as they're supposed to also be improved right?

The photo out of the window is much better compared to before, way way sharper outside and also text much sharper when zoomed inside /lower light.

I agree with both of you, I haven't really had many issues just wanted to see the difference post update

I noticed as well Zoom transition it's better after the update.

My Note 20 Ultra was awful in low light and night mode.

The S24U is miles ahead in night mode.

I have been taking pictures in low light yesterday for the 1st time and I noticed that when I turn on the camera it takes a bit of time to Acquire sharpness of the picture, after that it's ready to shoot, but of course you can shoot before that if you want, it's still going to process the picture in order to get the best of it, than it's going to process the picture a little bit more after the picture is taken, because I've seen the 3 dots working after I took the picture.

I don't mind the processing, of course I want tye best quality of my pictures, the other phones were taking time just to focus in low light, this phone takes one good shot at one time.

What I want is the phone to be able to take the picture without me seeing it's processing the picture, because I feel it slows me down when I want to take the picture.

Also if I could keep the enhancements I chose for my pictures for every zoom would be great.

Sharp pictures at 100x is not going to happen. The biggest physical zoom lense is the 5X one now so anything above is just digital cropping. Anything above 30x is not really useable I would say.

If you're interested, and haven't already tried it, there's a module in GoodLock called 'Camera Assistant' that has many more fine tune settings for the camera, like reducing the post processing for example so photos are talking faster.
