Hey guys, I got my S24 Ultra a week ago, but the battery drains so fast. I end up with only 6 hours screen on time at the end of the day and have to charge it in between. My screen is set to qhd and 120 adaptive hz. Reviewers are raving about long battery life, even two day battery life.

Also, the camera sucks. The exposure is always too high, and the night mode is terrible. The picture quality is way worse than my old Galaxy Z Fold 4 which is a surprise, given it comes from the s22 (not even the ultra).

Appreciate any support on this and please not telling me to put on fhd and other power save modes, no point getting an ultra for that!

Thank you all.

@KratosGodButcher  Certainly the AI takes a bit of time to learn your usage pattern but is usually completed in 7 days.  The only thing is that Battery Drain can sometimes occur as a result of using Smart Switch  (with older apps possibly being involved). If this was the case and it does not improve soon  I would recommend clearing the cache partition.  This deletes temporary cache files (some of which can be outdated or even corrupted) but keeps your Data intact.  Follow these steps:

1. Turn off the device.
2. Connect To Computer  , Press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power key
3. When the Android logo displays, release  both keys.
4. Wait until the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
6. Press Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.

Realise you do not want the device restricted but it still can be advisable to only have all the connections running when they are needed.

Some Members have had different experiences with the camera and one mentioned a very impressive Night Mode.  However obviously  there will be software updates that will improve matters.

I'm waiting for the software update, if that doesn't fix I will surely get it replaced.

I feel it's slightly worse than the S23 ultra, particularly with standby drain. Will give it some more time to settle and allow apps to sort themselves out with deep sleeping etc. Definitely not causing me any major concerns though and easily able to last a full day of heavy usage.

The learning period is around 1-2 weeks. Yes, it is OK if you charge it up to 95%. There some setting to protect the battery on Settings -> Battery  -> Battery protection and it has 3 levels Basic, adaptive and maximum.

What exactly is your light issue?

5 hours of SoT and 53% battery left seems pretty good. The screen is the most power consuming element. According to that you are getting a good 10 hours SoT.

Battery is always use dependant. The more screen time, gaming or heavy activity the less battery live.
