Wipe cache partition problem

Hello

I need to wipe the cache partition on my S23+ as I haven't done it for the last two updates. I no longer have a means to do it (my old laptop to connect to has died and doesn't switch on)

My phone is sluggish and it needs doing, but I've no one to ask with another laptop either.

So I tried a C to C cable thinking that maybe connecting to an old Samsung phone might do it, but of course they just think I'm trying to transfer data.

Are there any work arounds please?

Thanks

p.s. I'm doing the usual power off then holding the power button and volume up as I did before, which always worked.

It works for me if I connect an older Samsung phone. I use the Note 20 Ultra.

I've just solved it, through a light bulb moment haha. I put the S8 into safe mode and it worked.

Thanks though 😊

At least it is sorted , it should work with an older Samsung Device. You can also connect to Tv/Games Console USB for instance.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

On February update 26 It was removed as it isn't needed anymore. Android is changing how cache is managed and handled so the phone will better manage it by itself. It was removed as it isn't needed anymore.
