WiFi unusable after December security patch S 23 Ultra

Has anyone else had this problem, unable to sync emails, lots of apps don't work unless you switch to 5g?

Unfortunately my wifi and Bluetooth stopped working completely after the update, this causes a continuous boot loop when I tried to turn either on, Samsung has replaced the logic board under warranty. There is definitely something wrong with this update which Samsung has not acknowledged, worrying.

Yes! I constantly get DNS errors when the web pages fail to load and the wifi icon goes away and 5g shows up and then it just does this over and over only when using the internet. What is going on? I tried resetting networking and it did nothing but lose me every wifi I've ever connected too and Bluetooth. This all started after the December update a few days ago. I'm on an ATT variant S23 Ultra also.

Try using a private DNS, which will actually give you less crashes. Settings > Connections > More Connection Settings. Then you can set your private. There are plenty to choose from , inc Google, AdGuard, Quad9 etc... Some of these also eliminate ads on your phone apps as well, so definitely worth doing.

Apart from resetting the network settings on your phone, have you also rebooted your WiFi Router as well? If you do this, this normally resolves issues 9 times out of 10.

Yes, rebooted WiFi, still the same, some apps work on WiFi, orhers don't, I've had to go on 5g to type this as the members app won't work over WiFi. The December patch has seriously screwed my phone up!

On your phone's Wi-Fi settings, is your Wi-Fi set so it doesn't switch between mobile data and Wi-Fi? Also, try toggling on switch to better Wi-Fi networks to see if that helps.

The other things you can do (which might be a pain) is uninstalling and reinstalling the problematic apps to see if they download and install via Wi-Fi. Try that one by one, so you can tell if it's the app or the network. Other than that, maybe also try switching DNS (like I advised for another poster) and see if that helps.
